San Andreas, CA — The warmer weather welcomes physical activities in the Mother Lode and Mark Twain Medical Center wants to make sure you are in shape.
The hospital is holding its 7th Annual Health Fair this weekend with a new screening for a vitamin that health officials say many people do not get enough of in their daily diet. Along with the traditional screenings, the center will now check for vitamin D deficiencies. Additionally, there will be $45 blood analysis, which includes a chemistry panel, thyroid, complete blood count, lipid panel, iron test for women and PSA for men, according to hospital officials. A $10 bone density screen will also be available.
The fair will include over twenty-community health related service groups with information on topics ranging from senior health services, health insurance, nutrition, and fitness. The fair runs from 8 a.m. until noon today at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys.
