Stockton, CA — Lots of Caltrans crews will be busily at work across Mother Lode highways, as early as Sunday night.
Motorists should be aware that a full Highway 108 closure for 12 hours of paving operations will commence in Sonora on Sunday at 8 p.m. between Stockton Road/Highway 49 and Lime Kiln Road/South Washington Street. Anticipate five-minute delays through the detour, which will remain in place until Monday morning at 8.
Heads up for another full highway closure in Calaveras County Tuesday during grinding and paving work on Highway 4/Business in Angels Camp from south of Highway 49 to east of Angels Creek between the hours of 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Motorists should be prepared for 15-minute delays while being detoured, or seek alternate routes.
Traffic A Grind In Angels Camp
More grinding and paving along Highway 49 in Angels Camp Wednesday and Thursday will focus between Raspberry Lane/Hardscrabble Street and South Bret Harte Drive/Sam’s Way from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., which may well bring 15-minute motorist delays. Expect ten-minute traffic interruptions as Caltrans attends to various activities on Highways 49 and 4/Business. On Tuesday, work will focus at Angels Creek Bridge from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, a crew will be working from Bret Harte Drive to Sam’s Way from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
Along Highway 4 near Arnold, Monday and Tuesday, utility work is slated between Upper Moran Road and a half-mile east of Big Trees State Park from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m. with possible five-minute delays for motorists.
Utility work along Highway 26 is planned Monday and Tuesday between Lafayette Street and Happy Valley Road from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., bringing momentary delays. Tuesday through Thursday, tree work is scheduled between Ridge and Ealey roads from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., which will also cause brief traffic interruptions.
Tuolumne Traffic Delays
In Tuolumne County, each weekday along Highway 108 a utility crew will work along the right shoulder between Rancho Poquitos and Mono Way from 7 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., generating five-minute delays at a time. Too, daily tree work between Pine Acres and Middle Camp Sugar Pine roads from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. will cause brief setbacks for travelers.
Along Highway 120, Tuesday through Thursday, during drainage work between Grizzley and Old Priest Grade roads, motorists should anticipate ten-minute delays as crews work from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
