Sonora Planning Commission To Vote On Beer Garden

Sonora, CA — The City of Sonora Planning Commission has a big vote tonight. The city will decide whether to issue a design review permit for the construction of a beer garden at 198 South Green Street.

The applicant is Trado Restaurant, owner of the nearby Bourbon Barrel. Last month the commission reviewed the project but delayed a decision after some concerns about noise and other matters were voiced by neighbors.

The project garnered the support of many downtown business owners at a recent town hall meeting for merchants.

Tonight’s planning commission meeting starts at 5:30pm at City Hall. The beer garden is the only notable item on the agenda. The meeting is open to the public.
