Sonora, CA — The T.U.D. Board of Directors has only a few items on its meeting agenda for Tuesday.
The Board will hear a monthly update from Operations Manager Don Perkins on the Water and Wastewater Departments.
In addition, time will be set aside to honor the winners of a Third Grade Water Conservation Poster Contest. Each year the district invites third grade classrooms throughout the county to participate in its water conservation education program. Over 19 classroom visits were conducted this year, and over 500 students took part. The students also participated in an “Every Drop Counts” poster contest. This year’s winners are Elias Wang of Curtis Creek and Elijah Shaw of Sonora Elementary. They will be honored at the meeting.
The Board will also decide whether to allow multiple board members to attend an upcoming Mountain Counties Water Resource Association program meeting in Auburn this May. Funding for travel would be provided by the district. Tuesday’s meeting starts at 5:30pm at the district office on Nugget Blvd in Sonora.
