Sonora, CA — Elias Wang of Curtis Creek Elementary School is the Grand Prize winner of this year’s “Every Drop Counts” poster art contest.
Each year T.U.D. visits 19 third grade classrooms and speaks with nearly 500 students about the importance of water. The program is led by Becky Miller-Cripps, a Tuolumne County Master Gardener. There is a focus on teaching students about water quality, the cycle, future needs and conservation. In addition, there is a poster art contest where the students use what they have learned to draw a picture.
Wang’s photo is up for view in the box in the upper left hand corner. T.U.D. provides water service to approximately 44,000 residents in Tuolumne County.
