Fire Extinguished In Mi Wuk Village

Mi Wuk Village, CA — A small vegetation fire was contained during the early morning hours in Mi Wuk Village.

The fire, on Muheli Road, ignited at around 3am today. The Mi Wuk Sugar Pine Fire Protection District took quick action to prevent the fire from spreading. It burned 1/10 of an acre in heavily forested land in close proximity to homes. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Mi Wuk Sugar Pine Fire Protection district reports that the early morning, hot burning, fire is a reminder of how potentially dangerous the summer fire season could be. Residents are encouraged to make sure there is proper defensible space around all structures.
