Update at 11am: The CHP reports that person involved in the New Priest Grade crash suffered “major injuries.” One-way traffic control along New Priest Grade can be anticipated until at least 12:30pm. Be prepared for a delay.
Original story posted at 9:45am: The CHP reports that a vehicle has traveled off New Priest Grade and is 300 ft. down the embankment.
Emergency crews are responding to the scene. The crash is visible from Old Priest Grade. It occurred near the midway point of the grade. It is not immediately clear if there are any significant injuries related to the crash. One person is reportedly inside the vehicle. Emergency crews are planning to remain on scene for an extended period. Traffic control operations will be in place so use caution and prepare for a traffic delay.
