Clarke Broadcasting’s T.U.D. Candidates Forum

Sonora, CA — Candidates for the TUD Board of Directors squared off last night at the Clarke Broadcasting T.U.D. Candidates forum held in the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors meeting room.

The forum was aired live on AM 1450 and FM 102.7 KVML and streamed on myMotherLode.com. The moderators were Clarke Broadcasting News Director BJ Hansen and Clarke Broadcasting New Anchor Tracey Petersen. Candidates on hand included incumbents Kent Johnson and Ron Kopf and challengers David Axelrod, Barbara Balen and Bob Rucker. It was a unique chance to hear varying opinions on issues like water rights, lining the ditches, responding to tree mortality, whether there is currently enough supply for future growth, rate increases, and if the candidates would support increasing capacity at Lyons Reservoir.
