Sonora, CA — The November 8 General Election is now less than three weeks away.
Tuolumne County Clerk and Auditor Controller Debi Bautista reports that over 2,000 vote-by-mail ballots have already been received at the elections office. Early voting started on October 10. Tuolumne County has 30,732 registered voters. Vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked by Election Day to be valid. For those that have not registered to vote, this coming Monday is the deadline to do so. To register, you can go to www.sos.ca.gov or stop by the elections office at 2 S. Green Street in Sonora. Registration cards are also dispersed at several county buildings.
A reminder that the final presidential debate between Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump is coming up tonight from Las Vegas, Nevada. You can hear it live on AM 1450 and FM 102.7 KVML. Coverage starts at 5pm with the debate at 6pm.
