San Andreas, CA — A Murphys woman suffered minor injuries, and was arrested for DUI, stemming from a rollover accident on Highway 49.
The CHP reports the crash happened at 8:55am Wednesday near the intersection of Cosgrave Road. 32-year-old Leigh Darrell drifted off the highway shoulder in her 1997 Jeep Cherokee, over-corrected across both traffic lanes, eventually hit an embankment and overturned back onto the highway. An oncoming big rig truck driver, 59-year-old Thomas Robinson of Galt, slammed on the brakes to avoid hitting Darrell. Both vehicles blocked the intersection when they came to a stop. The CHP later arrived on scene and arrested Darrell for DUI.
