Update at 7:15 p.m.: Tow crews have removed the wreckage after a solo-vehicle crash on Highway 49 that had shutdown the roadway in the Tuttletown area. The CHP reports the roadway has reopened and traffic is moving freely once again.
There is no word on injuries. However, the CHP had reported that the driver of the pickup that flipped over and blocked the highway at the Portagee Lane intersection was out of the vehicle and walking around. The roadway was closed for about an hour.
Original post at 6:15 p.m.: Tuttletown, CA — Emergency crews are on the scene of a solo-vehicle crash near Fraguero Road on Highway 49 in the Tuttletown area.
The CHP reports the accident happened just before 6 p.m. when a pickup truck flipped over onto its roof at the intersection of Portagee Lane. The wreckage is blocking both lanes of the highway. Officers are turning around traffic at Poppy Hills Drive and Springfield Road.
An ambulance has been called to the scene. However, the CHP reports the driver is out of the vehicle and walking around. We will bring you additional details as soon as more information come into the newsroom.
