Sonora, CA — A single vehicle accident has damaged property in downtown Sonora. The incident happened at about 9:30AM on Stewart Street. The car crossed oncoming traffic near the Church intersection and significantly damaged the metal railing around the 913 South Stewart Street parking lot.
On scene was Sonora Police Chief Mark Stinson who stated the driver of the car was taken by ambulance to the hospital due to neck pain and no other passengers were in the car. Traffic was minimally impacted as the scene was cleared and a tow truck removed the vehicle.
