Update: Repair Time Pushed In Power Outage In Calaveras County

Update at 11 a.m.: Only 13 PG&E customers remain without power in the  Valley Springs area along Highway 26 near the La Contenta Golf Course area. At the height of the outage 510 were without lights since 3 a.m. The company has pushed the repair time for those handful of customers to 2 p.m.

Update at 8 a.m.: PG&E has dropped the number of customers without lights in Valley Springs to 111.  Originally, 510 woke up to no power since just after 3 a.m. The company has not released a cause as crews continue to working on the problem. Those still without power are along Vista Del Lago Drive off Highway 26 in the La Contenta Golf Course area. The estimated repair time was 7 a.m. but has been pushed to 11 a.m.

Update at 7:30 p.m.: The number of PG&E customers without lights this Thanksgiving morning in Valley Springs has gone up instead of down. 292 are now without electricity out of the initial 510 that had been without power since just after 3 a.m. Just before 7 a.m. that number went down to 111. The company is still working on repairing the problem but has not given a cause. Those still without power are along St. Andrews and Vista Del Lago Drive off Highway 26 in the La Contenta Golf course area. The estimated repair time has been pushed to 11 a.m.

Update at 6:50 a.m.: The lights are back on for all but 111 PG&E customers out of the 510 that were initially without electricity since just after 3 a.m. Those still without power are along Vista Del Lago Drive off Highway26. Crews have not given a cause for the outage but estimated the repair time for the remain customers in the 7 a.m. hour.

Original post at 6:05: a.m.: Valley Springs, CA – PG&E reports 510 customers are waking up to no lights this Thanksgiving Day in the Valley Springs area.

The electricity went out just after 3 a.m. The company does not know what sparked the outage near New Hogan Lake along Highway 26, St. Andrews Road and Vista Del Lago Drive. Crews are investigating but have not yet determined a cause. PG&E has estimated the repair time will be 7 a.m.
