Yosemite, CA — You can add Tioga Pass and Glacier Point Road to the seasonal closure list.
Yosemite spokesperson Jamie Richards says, “Over the last couple of weeks we’ve had several storm systems come through, and we do have hazardous ice and snow on the passes. So, for everyone’s safety, we are closing the passes.
We reported yesterday that Highway 108 Sonora Pass and Highway 4 Ebbetts Pass also closed this week for the season.
In Yosemite, Highway 120 West, Highway 140 and Highway 41 remain open year round to provide access to the park. The Hetch Hetchy Road is open for day-use throughout the winter months. All roads within the park are subject to chain control or temporary closures due to hazardous driving conditions. All travelers are required to carry tire chains, even if the vehicle is equipped with four-wheel drive, while driving in the park over the winter months.
