Update at 8:10 p.m.: The CHP reports the roadway has completely reopened and traffic is moving freely once again.
Update at 7:45 p.m.: The CHP reports a male suffered minor injuries in a solo-vehicle crash on Highway 49 around 6:15 p.m. north of Reynolds Ferry and Jackass Hill roads in the Tuttletown area. The roadway is down to one-way traffic control with the northbound lane as tow crews worked to remove the debris and wreckage. The CHP hopes to have the roadway cleared shortly.
Original post at 7 p.m.: Tuttletown, CA — Emergency crews are on the scene of a solo-vehicle crash in the Tuttletown area that has blocked one lane of Highway 49 backing up traffic on the Friday evening commute.
The accident happened around 6:15 p.m. on the highway north of Reynolds Ferry and Jackass Hill roads. The CHP reports that a vehicle went off the road and smashed into some trees. Fire personnel are directing one-way traffic control as the northbound lane has been closed due to debris. There is no word on injuries. We will bring you more details as soon as it comes into the newsroom.
