Yosemite, CA — Yosemite National Park officials report that Big Oak Flat Road, the extension of Highway 120, is currently closed due to a rockfall that occurred Sunday morning.
Park spokesperson Scott Gediman reports that the rockfall was relatively small, but there are concerns that additional rocks could fall today. Big Oak Flat Road is closed at Crane Flat so there is no access to Yosemite Valley, via Highway 120. The alternate routes are Highway 140 and Highway 41. Gediman reports that Yosemite officials hope to re-open Big Oak Flat Road on Tuesday morning.
