Yosemite, CA — The Big Oak Flat and El Portal roads in Yosemite National park are closed this afternoon.
The Big Oak Flat Road, an extension of Highway 120, remains closed due to an active rockfall. The closure runs from Crane Flat to the Foresta Road junction, so there is no access to Yosemite Valley coming into the park from Highway 120. It is unclear when the Big Oak Flat Road will reopen.
In addition, El Portal Road, the extension of Highway 140, is also now closed due to debris flows. You can still access Yosemite Valley if coming from that direction, however, via Wawona Road.
