Roadways Into Yosemite Valley Reopened

Yosemite, CA – Yosemite National Park reports all roadways are open to travel.

Big Oak Flat Road, an extension of Highway 120, and El Portal Road, an extension of Highway 140, have reopened allowing for access to Yosemite Valley. As reported here earlier this week, a rockslide came crashing down onto a section of Big Oak Flat Road last Sunday morning forced its closure, between Crane Flat and the Foresta Road junction. Crews have worked since then to clear away the debris.  Park officials urge visitors to drive with caution as more mud and debris could come down and once again close the roadway.

El Portal Road was closed yesterday due to water and debris on the roadway.  Visitors are urged to drive with caution as more mud and debris could come down and once again close these roadways as storms continue to move through the area.
