Phoenix Lake, CA — Some tap troubles in the Phoenix Lake area as customers of the Alpine Acres Mutual Water Company woke up to no water this morning. Company officials report that a pump broke around 9 p.m. Monday night. Crews are working to repair the problem, hopefully by sometime today, according to the utility.
Additionally, a traffic alert for the Tuesday morning commute as the recent storm damage continues to cause crumbling roadways creating travel troubles. The Sonora Police Department reports there is a 12′ deep sinkhole that stretches approximately 10′ under the eastbound lane of Big Hill Road near Sierra Glenn Apple Ranch. Officers have put out cones to alet motorists the damage and stay clear.
