Original Post 10:53 .m.: Columbia, CA — You will need to avoid Sawmill Flat Road this morning between Columbia College and Big Hill Road.

The Tuolumne County Community Resources Agency confirms that a tree fell onto Sawmill Flat Road and it is preventing traffic from passing through. It is not immediately clear when the stretch of road will reopen, as officials are currently assessing the situation.

A witness on scene reported to Clarke Broadcasting that it appears that tree may have come into contact with some utility lines. We’ll pass along more information when it becomes available.
