CHP Requests Public Help In Locating Driver Of Truck

San Andreas, CA — The CHP is seeking information about the driver of a vehicle who could have potentially been a witness to a fatal crash last week in Calaveras County.

38-year-old Monica Latzen of Sacramento died Friday when her 2003 Toyota Tundra went off Ospital Road near Wallace, overturned, and hit a large tree. CHP Officer Rebecca Myers reports that there are currently no known witnesses to the crash, but a security camera just north of the crash site helped identify a possible witness vehicle. The white pickup truck is believed to be a newer, 4-door, Ford 150. Officer Myers adds that the driver could provide information about the collision and is only being sought as a witness, and not a suspect.

Anyone with information about the driver, or the collision itself, is asked to call the San Andreas CHP Office at 209-754-3541.
