Update at 5:05 p.m.: CAL Fire spokesperson Lindy Shoff reports the fire is ten acres in size and moving at a moderate rate of spread.
Original post at 4:55 p.m.: Tuolumne County, CA — Air and ground resources are heading to a vegetation fire in Tuolumne County.
CAL Fire reports fire is in the area between Lake Don Pedro and Lake McClure along Merced Falls Road and Pepito Drive. There are no details as to the fire’s size, the flame’s rate of spread or whether any structures are threatened at this time. However, CAL Fire spokesperson Lindy Shoff reports that 14 engines, one dozer and two hand crews along with Columbia helicopter 404 are racing to the scene. She notes that the Columbia tanks are assisting on other fires outside the county. We will bring you more details as soon as it comes into the newsroom.
