Grass Fire In Copperopolis

Copperopolis, CA — A fire that ignited in Copperopolis was quickly contained.

Officials were dispatched to a report of a possible escaped debris burn in the 900 block of Reeds Turnpike. It was named the Reed Fire and burned approximately 1/4 acre of grass before the arriving firefighters contained it. Officials are looking into the cause.

Mop-up operations are ongoing in the area.
