Sonora, CA – More overnight paving may be the cause for moans and groans — not only Halloween night — but every weeknight through Friday morning on Highway 49/108.
Caltrans crews will be working between Chicken Ranch Road and Highway 108 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. where delays will be at least for ten minutes at a time. Expect accompanying ramp closures at Highway 108. Anticipate another overnight paving zone wreaking similar traffic headaches and more ramp closures in effect between Mono Way and Peaceful Oak Road as well as paving on stretches between 49 and Peaceful Oak Road; also between Via Estate/Rancho Poquitos and Draper Mine roads.
Anticipate daytime delays on Highway 49 for shoulder work Tuesday through Thursday between Columbia Way and Parrots Ferry Road from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
On Highway 120, crack seal work will delay traffic for ten-minute intervals every weekday between Tenaya School entrance and Moccasin Creek Bridge during the hours between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. Expect similar impacts during drainage work between the South Fork Tuolumne Bridge and the Saw Mill Mountain area/Hardin Hill Court sand house from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Calaveras Cone Zones
Along Highway 4 paving will be underway every weekday between Upper Moran Road and the Big Trees State Park entrance from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. during which traffic waits may stack up for ten minutes at a time. Shoulder work every weekday from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. is planned that should only create brief delays. Look for it daily between Hunt and Pool Station roads; also Thursday and Friday between Hunt Road and Stallion Way.
Expect ten-minute waits on Highway 49 while slope repairs are in progress Monday and Tuesday between Carson and Angels creeks from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. as well as during drainage work every weekday between Gun Club Road and Six Mile Creek from 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Too, Wednesday only on Highway 12, utility work is slated between Wards Avenue and Southworth Road that might momentarily slow traffic from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.
