Yosemite National Park reports it will close Glacier Point Road and Tioga Road, which is the Highway 120 entrance to the park, at 5:00 pm on Thursday, November 2nd.
Park officials detail that with heavy winter storm activity expected through Sunday (Nov. 5) will keep the roadways closed through the weekend. Crews will evaluate the road conditions on Monday (Nov. 6) and determine when the roadway can be reopened to travelers. Additionally, no overnight parking on either roadway is permitted.
There is no word from Caltrans as to whether Highway 108 Sonora Pass or Highway 4 Ebbetts Pass will follow suit and shut down but Clarke Broadcasting has put in calls to find out.
