Sonora, CA — It is time to gather up any overdue library materials in Tuolumne County that you may have forgotten to return.
In recognition of National Library Week, there will be amnesty for any overdue materials from April 8 -13.
Tuolumne County library officials report that overdue materials will be accepted at all five of the branches, “no questions asked and no fines levied.”
Late fees are a method aimed at guaranteeing a timely return of library materials, and the program next week is designed to help alleviate the financial hardship that many people are currently facing.
The main library in Sonora is open Monday through Friday from 9 am – 6 pm and Saturday from 10 am – 6 pm. More information on the library system can be found here.
