Sonora Recognized As A Top Serene Weekend Retreat

Sonora, CA — The City of Sonora is being touted by a national group as a great location in Northern California to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Seven communities were recognized by World Atlas as serene towns for weekend retreats. World Atlas, which was launched in 1994, calls itself the “Original online geography resource.”

Sonora made the list along with Mendocino, Healdsburg, Dunsmuir, San Juan Bautista, Sonoma, and Truckee.

It notes that Sonora sits at the gateway to the Sierra Foothills and features attractions like Indigeny Reserve, the Dragoon Gulch Trail, and Llamas of Circle Home in Tuolumne.
