Sonora, CA — Officials are giving early warning that an active shooting drill will take place next week at Adventist Health Sonora, so do not be alarmed if you see the activity.
The hospital, along with partners throughout Tuolumne County, will participate in the 2017 California Statewide Medical and Health Exercise on Thursday, November 16. It will begin at 7:30am on Adventist Health Sonora’s main campus on Greenley Road. The full scale exercise will help officials prepare in the event of a real-life emergency.
Additional participants will include CAL Fire, CHP, Sonora Fire Department, Sonora Police Department, Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians, Tuolumne County Ambulance, Tuolumne County Office of Emergency Services, Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office and Tuolumne County Public Health.
