A Chance To Get Low-Cost Healthcare And Licensing For Pets

Jamestown, CA – Rabies is a disease that affects the central nervous system and is fatal for dogs and cats, but owners can protect their pets for a reduced rate tomorrow.

Tuolumne County Veterinary Association and Tuolumne County Animal Control are holding their annual rabies and licensing clinics on Saturday, May 4, beginning at 1 p.m. at the Jamestown shelter at 10040 Victorica Way, behind the C&C Mini Mart. The cost is ten bucks per rabies vaccine.

The clinic also provided the reduced rates for licensing below:

• 1-year dog license: $7.75 (altered) – $23.00 (unaltered)
• 3-year dog license: $23.00 (altered) – $68.50 (unaltered)

The pet must have a spay certificate to qualify for an altered license fee and have a 3-year vaccination to qualify for a 3-year license. Additionally, all dogs must be leashed and cats must be in carriers.

The clinic only accepts cash or a check for payments. Owners are asked to bring the renewal form(s) to the clinic for faster service. A second chance to get these reduced rates will happen on Saturday, May 18th, at the shelter at 1 p.m., when a second clinic will be held.
