Sonora, CA – Motorists should plan for another two Caltrans cone zones this week.
As reported here, Caltrans officials had signaled that they planned only two work areas in the Mother Lode – both along Highway 120 – for this week.
Along Highway 49 a striping crew is now scheduled to work under a moving closure today through Thursday on a 27-mile stretch between the Mariposa/Tuolumne and Tuolumne/Calaveras county lines. The work should not create much in the way of delays but travelers should be aware of the activities going on from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
However, tomorrow through Thursday on Highway 49 the traffic waits will be more like ten minutes as a crew attends to shoulder work between Columbia Way and Von Kleiben Road from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
As of today, officials say that Highway 4 Ebbetts Pass and Highway 120 Tioga Pass through Yosemite remain closed due to snow while Highway 108 Sonora Pass is closed for the season.
