Update: Power Restored In Columbia And Copperopolis

Update at 10:42 am: The power has now been restored in both Copperopolis and Columbia.

Update at 10:07 am: PG&E reports that the 1,314 customers who lost electricity shortly after 6 am in Columbia have now been restored. A cause of the outage has not been released.

There is a new outage impacting 295 customers in Copperopolis and PG&E hopes to have everyone restored there by 11:30 am.

Original story posted at 7:21 am: Columbia, CA — 1,314 PG&E customers in the Columbia area lost power shortly after six o’clock this morning.

PG&E reports that the cause is under investigation, but the company hopes to have everyone restored by 9:30 am.

The outage is impacting the area around Columbia Airport, Columbia State Park, Big Hill, Yankee Hill, and along much of Parrotts Ferry Road. It is also stretching into the outskirts of Sonora near Shaws Flat.
