Acorn Fire
Update at 2:23 p.m.: The forward progress has been stopped and crews will remain in the area reaching full containment and mopping up. The cause of the fire is unknown.
Update at 2:05 p.m.: The fire has grown to approximately 15 acres with a moderate rate of spread and a potential for 50 acres as fire resources continue to respond to the incident.
Original post at 1:53 p.m.: San Andreas, CA– Air and ground resources are responding to a 5-acre vegetation fire in the area of Hogan Lake and Whiskey Creek River in the Valley Springs area. No structures are threatened and the rate of spread is unknown. Additional resources are responding to this incident. The fire has been named the Acorn Fire.
