Burson, CA — The CHP reports a man died in Calaveras County after being ran over by his gravel truck.
The tragic incident occurred at 1:10pm on Monday along Lower Lake View Road in Burson. CHP Officer John Fernandez says 50-year-old Paul J. Anderson of Pine Grove was parked at a work site and in the process of loading a box from the trailer into his truck. The 2014 Kenworth started to roll forward, and Anderson ran alongside the vehicle and attempted to regain control. As he tried to climb into the truck he fell and was ran over by the vehicle. He was sadly pronounced dead by arriving first responders.
Since it was a work site fatality, the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (CAL/OSHA) also responded to conduct an investigation.
