Sonora, CA – A Sonora woman was arrested after security cameras at a downtown gas station helped to put her in handcuffs.
A call from staff at the 76 Gas Station located at 317 South Washington Street recently reporting a large crack in one of its front windows had officers responding to the scene. In hopes of identifying the culprit, the business owners reviewed security video showing the alleged suspect damaging the window, according to police.
Later in the day, officers found the suspect, 47-year-old Amber Christine Foster, walking on South Washington Street and arrested her. The repair cost of the damaged window was estimated at about $1,000, making it a felony offense.
Of note, in May of 2020, Foster was arrested for chasing a neighbor while wielding a hatchet, as reported here.
