Valley Springs, CA– The Calaveras Community Foundation (CCF) has elected Terry Beaudoin of Valley Springs as its new Board President, effective June 1. Beaudoin succeeds Linda Kangeter, who will remain involved as a board member after her term ends.
Beaudoin, a board member since 2013, has previously served as CCF’s Vice President, Blood Drive Director, and a member of the Property and Scholarship Committees. He emphasized the Foundation’s crucial role in the community and aims to ensure a smooth leadership transition. “CCF is going through a time of significant positive change,” said Beaudoin. “My goal is to make this transition seamless as we continue providing grants, scholarships, and special projects that benefit County residents.”
Beaudoin highlighted the Foundation’s impact, citing the Butte Fire of 2015 as an example of CCF’s effectiveness in providing critical resources and grants. He also expressed gratitude for Kangeter’s contributions, acknowledging her legal expertise and leadership over the past 15 years. “Linda’s experience helped keep the Foundation on course,” said Beaudoin. “She has been an outstanding mentor and has graciously allowed me to put her on my speed dial list for future advice.” Kangeter praised Beaudoin’s organizational skills, energy, and problem-solving abilities, expressing confidence in his leadership. “Terry’s skills have enabled CCF to take on additional projects, such as sponsoring local Vitalant blood drives,” she said. “I am confident that, under his leadership, CCF will continue to expand its ability to serve the people of Calaveras County.”
Founded in January 2000, the Calaveras Community Foundation has raised and distributed over $3.3 million in grants and scholarships within the community. For more information, visit here.
