Fentanyl Confiscated During Calaveras Traffic Stop

Mokelumne Hill, CA — Two people were arrested following a traffic stop on Highway 49 in Mokelumne Hill.

The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office reports that the driver of the vehicle, 39-year-old Ricky Cavaco II of San Andreas, was recently pulled over, along with passenger, 33-year-old Airelle Rudolph.

Cavaco was on searchable probation and Rudolph had recently been released from an out-of-county court on pending criminal charges.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies found drugs, metal knuckles, firearm parts, and ammunition.

Cavaco II was arrested and booked into Calaveras County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of ammunition as a prohibited person, illegal possession of metal knuckles, and violation of probation.

Rudolph was arrested and booked on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of metal knuckles, and violating court terms of her release.
