Sonora, CA– A grass fire broke out in the area of Pheonix Lake Road and Hess Avenue in Sonora. It was named the Edgemont fire and was burning at a moderate rate of speed. Air and ground resources responded and stopped the forward progress of the fire at 1/4th of an acre. Crews will remain on scene mopping up, the cause of the fire is unknown.
