Sonora, CA – A raid of an illegal pot grow in Sonora results in one arrest, and two accomplices are being sought, but marijuana was not the only item uncovered.
The property consisted of indoor and outdoor cultivation in the area of North Sunshine Road that turns into Longeway Road. The Tuolumne Narcotics Team (TNT), SWAT Team, and code compliance with a search warrant in hand last Friday, September 27th, combed the property. One resident, 48-year-old Rosalie Alyssa Ornelas, was detained. Not at the home were residents 42-year-old Lonnie Joshua Malone and 54-year-old Mia Marie Todaro.
During the search, TNT agents discovered about 31 grams of methamphetamine packaged into several bags, illegal drug use paraphernalia, and physical evidence consistent with methamphetamine sales. 150 marijuana plants were also found and eradicated from the property. Inside Malone’s bedroom amongst his belongings, agents found a rifle, which, as a parolee with prior felony drug convictions, is not allowed to have firearms.
Ornelas arrested for several drug-related charges. Malone and Todaro were not located and are still being sought, as their whereabouts are unknown. Anyone with information regarding this grow or the two suspects is encouraged to contact TCSO at 209-533-5815.
