Sonora, CA — Interest has been building ahead of the November General Election, according to the latest early voting figures.
Tuolumne County Clerk and Auditor-Controller Donnie McNair provided an update at today’s board of supervisors meeting. The ballots were sent out to all registered voters early last week.
He added, “As of this morning, we have received 1,100 ballots, which is pretty exciting news. We appreciate the early voting and we hope to keep that going.”
He also stressed the importance of signing the back of the envelope, where it is marked, before returning it.
McNair added that if anyone hasn’t received one by late this week, they should call the election’s office at 209-533-5570.
Those wanting to vote early can also stop by the main election’s office at 2 South Green Street on weekdays from 8 am – 5 pm. Additional voting sites will open closer to the election. To find the specific locations and dates, along with information on ballot drop boxes, click here.
The General Election is coming up on November 5.
