Hidden Pocket Knife Results In Sonora Mans Arrest

Sonora, CA – A Sonora man was handcuffed after concealing a knife in his pocket.

A Tuolumne County Sheriff’s deputy recently recognized the individual as 35-year-old Carlos Canez walking in the 800 block of Mono Way near the Greenley Road intersection and the Sonora Plaza Shopping Center in Sonora. When the deputy approached Canez to question him, he admitted he was on probation.

A record check of Canez found that he was on searchable probation. A patdown on his person uncovered a pocketknife locked in the open position hidden in his front pocket. Canez was arrested for felony carrying a concealed dirk or dagger in violation of his probation.
