Sonora, CA — Phase One of Foundation Sports Park in Standard is complete, including soccer fields and pickleball courts, but there is more to do, including a walking trail, indoor facility, batting cages, and a drive-through café.
A phonathon for the Youth Sports Foundation of Tuolumne County is taking place today in partnership with Clarke Broadcasting. Three members of the foundation gave an update on the project on this past weekend’s Mother Lode Views, which you can find here.
Stressing the benefits of the project, YSF Administrative Coordinator Paula Gaiser stated, “Maybe there are some kids you know who are playing sports, or you have seen the impact it has had on someone. This is a great opportunity (to help a good cause).”
She continued, “We have also had a really generous match from the Chicken Ranch Rancheria and the Sonora Area Foundation, two of our biggest supporters in the community, who have come together to match up to $100,000 in donations that we receive.”
Listen for interviews throughout today with members of YSF on Star 92.7 and 93.5 KKBN.
