Summerville Tops Hilmar, Ripon Defeats Sonora In Football Action

Sonora, CA– Summerville Bears secured a 28-19 victory over Hilmar Yellowjackets. Both teams opened with 7 points in the first quarter. Summerville added 7 more points in the second and third quarters while Hilmar was held scoreless in the second and managed only 6 points in the third. Summerville closed out the game with another 7 points in the fourth, and despite Hilmar’s 6-point response, they couldn’t close the gap.

Ripon Indians held off the Sonora Wildcats 27-15. Ripon put up 13 points in the second quarter, while Sonora answered with 9 points. Both teams were scoreless in the third quarter. Ripon added 14 points in the fourth, and Sonora managed 6, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Ripon’s lead.
