Calaveras County Shelter Looking For Owners Of Lost Animals

San Andreas, CA – The Calaveras County Animal Services (CCAS) wants to alert the public to several lost animals that wandered off from their barnyards.

The Billy goat in the image box picture is one of those lost animals. The adult buck was found running around the Mokelumne Hill area. Shelter officials say he is very friendly. The shelter also has two male pigs, both boars. A person brought them to the shelter after they were found roaming around the West Point area and also appeared to be friendly.

Shelter officials hope the owners of these animals will see their pictures and come claim them. To do that, the owners must show proof of ownership. The shelter is located at 901 Jeff Tuttle Drive in San Andreas. Questions regarding these animals can be directed to the shelter at 209-754-6509. If no one claims these animals after a waiting period, they can go up for adoption and hopefully find a new barnyard to call home. No information regarding the cost of adoption was released.
