Jackson, CA — The Calaveras Community Foundation is awarding $10,000 to help provide healthy meals and social connections to vulnerable seniors.
The money is being awarded to the Amador Senior Center, which oversees the Calaveras Meals On Wheels program in the neighboring county.
Dr. Chris Kalton, Executive Director of the Amador Senior Center, says, “This generous grant from the Calaveras Community Foundation enables us to expand our reach and meet the growing needs of at-risk older adults in Calaveras County. With their support, we can deliver not only nutritious meals but also a caring, personal connection for those who need it most.”
Support, including volunteers, is always being sought for the Calaveras Meals on Wheels program. Click here for more information.
