Power Outage In Calaveras And Amador Counties Impacting Thousands

Calaveras County, CA — PG&E reports a power outage in Calaveras and Amador counties is impacting more than 10,000 customers.

The outage in Calaveras County is impacting 4,801 customers along Highway 26, Ridge Road, and South Railroad Flat Road and includes the communities of Rail Road Flat, Glencoe, Wilseyville, and West Point. Amador County’s outage is along Highway 88, including Pine Grove, Volcano, Pioneer, and parts of Jackson. It is affecting 5,508 customers.

The electricity went out around 3:15 p.m., impacting a total of 10,309 customers. The company reports that a crew is “evaluating the electrical system to identify damaged sections and make necessary repairs in order to safely turn the power back on.” Currently, no cause has been given with the utility posting a restoration time of 8 p.m. for Calaveras and 8:30 p.m. for Amador.
