Update at 12:10 p.m.: CAL Fire engines are also on the scene of a propane leak that has shut down a section of roadway in the Copperopolis area of Calaveras County. A report of the gas smell in The Shores of Poker Flat area off O’Byrnes Ferry Road came in around 11:10 a.m., closing a portion of Sunshine Road, near Poker Flat Road. Spokesperson Emily Kilgore tells Clarke Broadcasting that it is a single-family home. She added that firefighters could see and smell the gas upon their arrival.

Currently, crews from the undisclosed propane company are working to repair the leak. Those living in the home had to leave, but no other evacuations have been ordered.
