Expanded List Of Local Vote Centers Opening Ahead Of Tuesday’s Election

Sonora, CA — This will be a busy weekend for election officials across the state in the final stretch ahead of the General Election.

In addition to choosing the next US President, there are Congressional and Assembly elections, ballot measures, board of supervisor races, school board contests, and special district races.

In Tuolumne County, Vote Centers will be open this weekend at the main election office, Tuolumne Resilience Center, Groveland Resilience Center, Twain Harte Bible Church, and the Jamestown Community Hall.

In Calaveras County, Vote Centers will be operational at the San Andreas Government Center, Bret Harte Theater in Angels Camp, Valley Springs/Jenny Lind Veterans Memorial Hall, and the Mokelumne Hill Town Hall.

Interest has been high ahead of the General Election. As of today, Tuolumne County Clerk and Auditor-Controller Donnie McNair reports that 16,500 ballots have already been received, which is about 45% of registered voters.

The ballots will be tabulated after all of the polling locations close at 8 pm on Tuesday.
