Summerville And Sonora Receive First Round Byes in Football Playoffs

Sonora, CA — The Sonora Wildcats and Summerville Bears were high in the rankings when the state football playoff brackets were released over the weekend.

Summerville is the top seed in the CIF Sac Joaquin Division 7 bracket. The Bears will face the winner of the November 8 game between 8th seed Gustine and 9th seed Golden Sierra. Summerville will be at home on November 15 at 7 pm.

Sonora is the 3rd seed in the Division 6 bracket. The Wildcats will face the winner of the November 8 contest between 6th-seed Wheatland and 11th-seed Calaveras. Sonora will be at home on November 15 at 7 pm.

Sonora High playoff football will air live on AM 1450 and FM 102.7 KVML and Summerville High will be on 93.5 KKBN. The audio will also be streamed on myMotherLode.com.
