Update at 10:50 pm: Election officials have finished tabulating all of the ballots that will be counted today in both Tuolumne and Calaveras counties. There are still thousands of late-arriving vote-by-mail and provisional ballots to be counted in the coming days. Tuolumne County Clerk and Auditor-Controller Donnie McNair reports that there are around 4,400 in Tuolumne County.
It appears clear that Mike Holland will be the new District One Supervisor with 64% of the vote. The Measure Z sales tax measure and the Measure B Summerville Bond measure are both losing.
The third seat on the Angels Camp City Council, Calaveras District Two Supervisor, and Twain Harte Community Services District race are all too close to call. Click here for the latest results.

Update at 9:45 am: At this morning’s Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors meeting, Clerk and Auditor-Controller, Donnie McNair reported that around 22,000 ballots have already been received, which is 62% of registered voters.
He added, “If you haven’t voted yet, and have your ballot, please use one of our 10 drop-off boxes. If you want to use the mail, please go to the post office and go inside and get it postmarked so that it has today’s date on it. If you lost your ballot, or want to come and vote at one of the Vote Centers, we have five (locations). If you haven’t registered yet, you can come in and get a conditional ballot (at a Vote Center).”
The ballots will be tabulated after the polls close at 8 pm.

If you still have a ballot to drop off, the official drop boxes are a good option at this point. If you still are planning to send a ballot through the mail, election officials say it is best to physically take it into the post office, and have it stamped by a worker, to ensure it is postmarked by today. If it is just dropped in a mailbox, it might not be post-marked until tomorrow (and ineligible).
There will be twice hourly local election updates after the polls close on AM 1450/FM 102.7 KVML, Star 92.7 and 93.5 KKBN. The results will also be posted on myMotherLode.com.
