Tuolumne Woman Arrested For Punching Elder

Sonora, CA – A Tuolumne woman was arrested after an argument erupted into battery.

The incident occurred on Halloween, Thursday, October 31st, 2024, just before 1 a.m. when deputies responded to the area of Tuolumne Road near Eagle Ridge Drive near the Tuolumne Utilities District (TUD) building in Sonora for a report of a battery that happened earlier in the evening.

Once on scene, deputies spoke to the victim, a 66-year-old woman, who alleged that 31-year-old Jeena Eunice had hit her in the face during a verbal argument earlier in the evening. The force caused the victim to fall backward, injuring her eye.

Multiple other witnesses corroborated the victim’s account of what happened at the residence during the argument. Subsequently, Eunice was arrested for felony causing an injury to an elder or dependent adult and placed on a $35,000 bail.
